The private yacht can be any style and average in size from about 50 feet up to a mega yacht size. The primary use of private yachts are for recreational activities such as waterskiing, boarding, fishing or family and group vacations. The size of the private yacht dictates the number of people that it can accommodate and how long the vessel can remain to sea.

The price of new private luxury yachts range dramatically, and must be obtained by contacting a dealer with the desired specifications. Used 1991 private yachts models cost around $1,100,000, but older models can are priced for around $525,000.
