Cadillac re-goals in the premium segment in Europe

Cadillac
Cadillac takes third attempt in 15 years to intervene in a significant market for luxury cars in Europe.
This will happen with two new models in the style changed. “The only thing we can do in Europe to try and try,” says CEO of GM, Day Akersan (Dan Akerson).

Cadillac XTS
Cadillac XTS (presented as a concept last year in Detroit), was shown in Geneva earlier this month. It gives an idea of the new style of the company, which is deemed that it would be more desirable and attractive to European buyers. According Akersan, the new Cadillac XTS will be positioned above the CTS in order modeling of the company, which will be offered in Europe.
To remember that expect the emergence of another new model of the company, which will be compact sedan, positioned below the Cadillac CTS.
Experts say the biggest problem of Cadillac in Europe is the lack of diesel engines. “We can not do everything at once,” said Jeff LUX, head of engines in Opel / Vauxhall.
For its part Akersan admitted that the segment of premium cars in Europe is so saturated with excellent references, that becomes very difficult for Caddy to intervene.
