Lotus presented in Frankfurt a special modification of the sports coupe Lotus Evora 2012. This modification is the most powerful production car for general use in the history of the British company. Is the name Evora GTE, as the car actually is a version for use on public roads for racing Lotus used in the series “24 Hours of Le Mans.” The first difference compared with the standard Lotus Evora is lower by 105 kg. curb weight. Lotus Evora 2012 has new bumpers, doors and rear spoiler made of carbon fiber.

The engine of  Lotus Evora 2012 is 6 cylinders, 3.5 liters displacement and 444 hp power developed by Toyota. It is combined with transmission of motorsport. The brakes are by Recaro. The interior has leather and carbon fiber wheels are lightweight alloy tires are Pirelli P-Zero Corsa. Initially it was reported that the car will be produced in a series of only 25 pieces, but things are changing rapidly. For several days in China had made 114 orders for Lotus Evora 2012 model.
