2013 Mazda 6

Mazda chose to present the new 2013 Mazda 6 model on the opening of the international exhibition in Moscow. On this premiere Mazda will show the third-generation Mazda 6.

Prices and equipment of the new Mazda 6 will be announced within a week, and the first car model will hit the market in Europe in December. Before that – at the end of September, will appear the station wagon. The premiere is scheduled for the Paris exhibition.

The new 2013 Mazda 6 is equipped with a 2.0 liter gasoline engine with 150 horsepower, fitted with SkyActiv, whose compression ratio is 14:1. The engine is combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The new “six” Japanese for the first time presented system for recovery of the energy when braking (i-ELOOP), which reduces fuel consumption and exhaust emission levels of CO2.

Japanese prepare and one petrol version of the car which will be marketed in Russia and the USA. It will be a completely new 2.5-liter SkyActiv engine with 192 hp. In its compression ratio is 13:1, and as it can be combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission. There will also be a diesel model, but currently Mazda not reported anything about it.

The dimensions of the 2013 Mazda 6 are: Length – 4865 mm, width – 1840 mm, height and wheelbase -1,450 mm – 2830 mm. Fuel economy on the  2.0 liter version engine and manual gearbox is 6 l/100. Modification offers automatic 6.2 litres/100 km., and this 2.5-liter engine – 6.4 l/100 km.
