Kitchen design
The kitchen design should be convenient for the person, who will use it. From this perspective, the standard of depth and height are not mandatory, they are recommended. Built in appliances are designed for 82 cm height, and when the thickness of the countertop adds, the total height is 86 cm. The height of the kitchen can be from 86 to 95 cm. The countertop depth in the European standards is 60 cm. In the U.S., these rates ranged from 70 to 90 cm, because the modern kitchens have island, where are concentrated all appliances. Usually, this kitchen island has 120 cm width and 70 cm depth.
Kitchen with island
The kitchen islands are multifunctional, but designing a kitchen with island, needs more space. The basic layouts of the kitchens are L-shape, U-shape, Island Option, and Corridor/Galley. For maximum utilization of space inside the cabinets put drawers. The aspirator has to connect to a chimney. If the kitchen project does not include chimney, the decision is aspirator with activated charcoal, but it absorbs 80% of the steams.

The major functional areas in the kitchen design should be certain in the project. The first starting point is the refrigerator – the place, where storage the products. After that is a small workplace – this is place, where products are placed, when removed them from the refrigerator and prepare them for washing. Another important area is the sink, also the large worktop. Its sizes are about 1 to 1.20 m, but it can be larger. One of the most important places is the actual cooking area – plates and oven. It is better if you provide space for the finished food. The proper configuration of these work areas reduces the unnecessary movement of hosts.
